OGS Attends Historic Cupping Event in Myanmar

Yangon, May 28, 2015 – Members of One Global Sourcing Limited attended a historic coffee cupping event in Myanmar today.  The event aimed at officially testing and grading 52 of the Myanmar Coffee Association’s finest Arabica coffees.

“We gladly accepted the invitation to join in this landmark event,” says OGS General Manager, Joe Seydewitz.  “We’ve been visiting Myanmar coffee plantations and forging great relationships with the farmers for the past couple years.  We’re really excited to see their coffees enter the global stage.”

The event was attended by a select group of the coffee industry’s most respected graders from the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI), in addition to the American Deputy Ambassador to Myanmar and the county’s key coffee producers.

“We are looking forward to continue working with the Burmese coffee suppliers, and to foster a sustainability model,” says Seydewitz.
